I'd love to work with Rajinikanth, but can't think of romancing him: Mandy Takhar

A few years ago superstar Rajinikanth showed no qualms in stating that he does feel ‘awkward’ and ‘embarrassed’ each time he is asked to romance a heroine. Interestingly, it isn’t just him who gets jitters and faces discomfort in romancing co-stars, actress Mandy Takhar can never think of romancing a senior actor.

Unlike other actresses who would pounce on the opportunity to romance South sensation Rajinikanth, Mandy can’t even imagine to do anything similar. “I would love to work with Rajini sir, but can’t think of romancing him ever. It is like romancing Amitabh sir. They are like father figures. I can never do that,” she says.

Mandy, who made her Bollywood debut with ‘Bumboo’, also has Tamil and Telugu films to her credit. While speaking new languages and tough ones such as Tamil and Telugu can be perplexing experience for anybody, Mandy was an exception. “I have a good memory which is why I could easily mug up all dialogues. Once I understood the meaning, I didn’t face any problem in mouthing the dialogues,” she says.
