We are finally out with the list of winners for this year's IBNLive Movie Awards. 2014 has seen a myriad of themes on which filmmakers experimented. Some were successful in narrating fresh new stories, while some faltered. Our readers voted for their favourites in different categories; while some of their choices were predictable, there were the others whose results were refreshingly different. They made some remarkable films win in important categories.
The readers unanimously chose Niharika Singh as the Best Female Debut for 'Miss Lovely' . The former Miss India, received rave reviews for her powerful role in the film. She was a stunner at last year's Cannes, when she glided down the red carpet with her co-actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The movie was directed by Ashim Ahluwalia and Niharika was the main lead. 41.1 per cent of readers voted for the actress.
The other contenders for the Best Female Debut 2015 were Kriti Sanon for 'Heropanti' and Patralekha for 'CityLights'. Kriti gave Niharika a tough competition and received 37.25 per cent votes. Patralekha's village belle role in 'CityLights' may have impressed the critics but it garnered only 21.65 per cent votes.
