Actor Rajesh Khattar did the voice-over for the character of Raktadeva in the upcoming animated series Baahubali: Crown of Blood. Recently, he shared his experience of working in both live-action and animation in cinema. Rajesh Khattar is the father of actor Ishaan Khattar. He has lent his voice to Hindi dubbing of numerous iconic characters in the entertainment industry including Tony Stark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean series, and Berlin in Money Heist. Reflecting on his career in the industry, Rajesh said, “All my characters became popular thanks to the audience’s love and support. Each role I took on resonated with viewers, and I attribute this success to my ability to stay true to the essence of the original characters. I focused on maintaining their core characteristics, ensuring that their unique traits were preserved in my voice work. At the same time, I added my own input and interpretation to the roles, which helped create a distinctive portrayal that audiences could connect with.”
He continued, “For example, when voicing Tony Stark, I aimed to capture the charisma and wit that Robert Downey Jr brought to the character, while also adding my own nuances to enhance the performance. Similarly, with Captain Jack Sparrow, I worked to reflect Johnny Depp’s quirky and unpredictable mannerisms, all while incorporating my own style.”
Rajesh Khattar said that audiences wanted his voice for the Hindi versions of these iconic characters and he was grateful about it. Speaking about Bahubali: Crown of Blood, he said he was equally grateful to have been selected for it. “I think my fans who follow all of my work will be equally happy with Raktadeva and I am eagerly waiting for their reaction,” he said.
In the upcoming series, Baahubali and Bhallaladeva join hands to protect the kingdom and throne of Mahishmati against Raktadeva . A Graphic India and Arka Mediaworks production, Baahubali: Crown of Blood is produced by SS Rajamouli, Sharad Devarajan and Shobu Yarlagadda.
