Ranveer Singh, who is busy shooting for his next film Gully Boy co-starring Alia Bhatt, has been pretty much off paparazzi keeping a safe distance from traditional media. While the actor has been actively sharing the behind-the-scenes videos and photos from the shoot, the look, and feel of the film are still under tight wraps. Giving another glimpse into the much-anticipated project, Ranveer took to Instagram to share a photo with the real-life 'Gully Boys', the street rappers who are helping Ranveer prepare for the film.
He wrote, "Y’already know #gullyboys @ntnmshra @kaaam_bhaari @vivianakadivine"
The film is being directed by Zoya Akhtar and will be based on the lives of Mumbai street rappers who live in ghettos and chawls. The story is reportedly based on rapper Naved Sheikh a.k.a. Naezy’s life. Rapper Divine, who has given popular track Paintra for Anurag Kashyap's Mukkabaaz, is working with fellow rappers Kunal Pandagle aka Kaam Bhaari and Nitin Mishra to prepare Ranveer for the film also give music in the film.
"Gully boy, iss saal! Scene littt hai!!! #GullyGang #GullyBoy #Aathank"
Farhan Akhtar is penning dialogues for the film and this will be Ranveer's second collaboration with Zoya after Dil Dhadkne Do. Not much about the film has been revealed but the film certainly has a fresh story and Zoya Akhtar will make sure to justify the lives of street-rappers making their own niche among youths.
