Actor-comedian Mithra is set to appear in a whole new look for his upcoming projects. Known for his talent in portraying comedic as well as emotional roles seamlessly, the Sandalwood star gave an exclusive interview to News18 Kannada, delving into his transformation and the reaction he received.
Mithra is known for his clean-shaven look in films, an appearance well-loved by the fans. But for his new look, he has opted to grow out his beard, a first for him. According to the actor, his wife Geetha found it difficult to adjust to this new look.
Talking to News18 Kannada Digital, Geetha shared, “Our masters used to stay there with a clean-shaven look earlier. I liked it very much.” She revealed that when her husband started to grow his beard, she did not like it at all. Speaking further, she added, “But now, after doing the photo shoot, he is getting more and more liked. It’s a matter of great pleasure.”
Mithra told News18 Kannada that he is receiving a lot of offers, thanks to his new look. According to him, he is getting a chance to play the antagonist, in a Jadeshaa K Hampi directorial, which is tentatively titled VK 21, as it stars Vijay Kumar. And then he will be seen in another Kannada project, again playing the villain, directed by Kaliveera fame, Aviram. The actor promised to give more details on the releases in the future.
The images shared capture the actor sporting a sleek-looking, salt-and-pepper beard, with a well-maintained hairstyle. For his outfit, he has chosen to don a navy blue, three-piece suit paired with a white shirt. The actor has accessorized the look with a silver coloured cable chain on his neck, a matching bracelet and finger rings.
Mithra was last seen in the 2023 film Raghavendra Stores, which was directed by Santhosh Ananddram. It stars Jaggesh, Shwetha Srivatsav, H G Dattatreya, Ravishankar Gowda, Mithra and Achyuth Kumar. Vijay Kiragandur produced the film under the banner of Hombale Films.
