Emily in Paris Season 4 part 1 is finally streaming on Netflix and it ends with a twist. Fans might be surprised to learn that Camille isn’t pregnant after all. Initially, it appeared that Camille was expecting a baby with Gabriel, the aspiring chef played by Lucas Bravo. However, it turns out that her positive pregnancy test was actually due to stress and medication. Talking about the twist, Bravo admitted that he was relieved after knowing that his character’s ex-fiancee was not having his child. The actor spoke to People and shared that this reveal opened up new possibilities for his character, who has been in love with Emily, played by Lily Collins, since the beginning of the series.
He said, “I felt like that pregnancy, it was a promise of more chaos or more drama and a new obstacle, which is sad because a baby should never be that. Since Gabriel has been in love with Emily since the moment he opened that door, I felt like that pregnancy was getting in the way of that. So yeah, there was a sense of relief, but it is not going to feel that way.”
Lucas Bravo further mentioned that the latest season of Emily in Paris will show a more mature side of his character. He added, “I feel like the promise of the baby gives him enough energy to start being a bit more proactive and chase his dream and chase the woman he loves.”
In the new season, Camille is shown visiting a gynaecologist to confirm her pregnancy, only to find out she is not actually pregnant. Although she tells her friend about the false pregnancy test but decides not to inform Gabriel or Emily. She believes the baby was one of the few things keeping her and Gabriel connected despite their breakup. Before the season ends, Camille does get a chance to tell Gabriel the truth but she chooses to continue pretending she is still expecting his child.
Although the plot and teaser for Season 4, Part 2 have not been released yet, the second half is expected to address key questions. Fans are eager to find out if Camille will finally reveal to Gabriel that she’s not pregnant. On the other hand, Emily and Gabriel’s relationship is expected to blossom. While Part 1 is available for streaming on Netflix now, Part 2 is scheduled to premiere on September 12.
