Torrential rains have inundated Toronto, causing flood-like conditions across Canada’s largest city. The record rainfall has resulted in power outages and widespread difficulties for residents. Among those affected is rapper Drake, whose $100 million mansion in Toronto was flooded during the storm. Drake shared a video from inside his residence, revealing the damage caused by dirty rainwater, including to furniture and other amenities.
“This better be Espresso Martini,” the singer-rapper joked while sharing the video of mud-water inside his residence.
In the video from his expansive estate, water can be seen flowing through what appears to be Drake’s walk-in closet area, soaking the living space further. As Drake navigates the watery mess with a broom in hand, a member of his household staff is visible attempting to close the closet door to stem the flow of water.
Despite the intense rain, Drake’s residence still seemed to have power connections. The video went viral instantly, leaving fans divided over his reaction to the devastating floods in Toronto. A user wrote, “Bro got the rap game against him, AND NOW MOTHER NATURE?!?!?”

Toronto Rains
Heavy rains across Canada’s Toronto have triggered flash flooding in parts of the city, causing severe damage to power connections, traffic, and airline services. The provincial police have also warned of flooding on highways, asking local police to take caution. According to the Associated Press, Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow reported that the number of Toronto Hydro electricity customers without power had reached 109,000 by late afternoon.
Disturbing images and visuals of the flooded city have taken over social media. Meanwhile, Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for larger parts of southwestern Ontario.
