Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa reunited for yet another Jatt & Juliet film, Jatt & Juliet 3. The new Jatt & Juliet film came out earlier this year, 12 years after Jatt & Juliet 2 was released. The film brought back Diljit and Neeru as Punjab’s beloved police officers, and this time around, Jasmin Bajwa was in the mix. A few months after its theatrical release, the film will not be out on OTT.

Jatt & Juliet 3 is about a police officer named Fateh Singh from Punjab who lands in Canada and falls in love with Pooja, who is also a police officer there. The film revolves around a series of hilarious unfortunate events which eventually result in Fateh and Pooja falling in love. The film will be available to stream on Chaupal from tomorrow, September 19.

Jatt & Juliet 3 was written and directed by Jagdeep Sidhu. At the press conference for the film’s trailer launch in Mumbai earlier this year, Diljit revealed he almost rejected the film.

“When Jatt & Juliet 1 was being made, Darshan Singh Grewal — the producer of Jatt & Juliet. We had problems with each other. So when the movie offer came to me, I wanted to go and reject the film in person. I had gone to his office to refuse the offer because of our history. When I reached his office, he signed a blank cheque in filmy style and told me, ‘Paaji, fill the amount, I want to do a film with you.’ I didn’t foresee this,” Diljit Dosanjh confessed.

Meanwhile, Diljit Dosanjh has received a legal notice from a fan, who was left disheartened after she failed to get a ticket for the singer’s upcoming India tour. As reported by Free Press Journal, the fan identifies herself as Riddhima Kapoor and is a law student based in Delhi. Reportedly, in her legal notice, she alleged malpractices in the ticket sales process and accused the organisers of the Dil-Luminati Tour of violating consumer rights. Besides Diljit, the legal notice has also been sent to Zomato, HDFC Bank and Saregama Pvt Ltd. However, they are yet to respond to the notice.

Diljit Dosanjh’s Dil-Luminati Tour will be an epic 10-city celebration. It will kick off at the iconic Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on October 26, 2024. Following Delhi, the tour will make its way to Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore, Indore, Chandigarh, and Guwahati. The tickets of the show were made available recently but were sold out in minutes.
