CTRL Is Ananya Panday's 'Career-Best Performance', Says Anurag Kashyap: 'Takes Equal Amount Of B**ls To...'
Anurag Kashyap has reviewed Ananya Panday's latest film, CTRL.

Anurag Kashyap has reviewed Ananya Panday’s CTRL and has taken to social media to pen a special note for the film. After making waves in Prime Video’s Call Me Bae, Ananya Panday is now seen in Netflix’s CTRL. The actress has been busy promoting the film and has left no stone unturned to ensure that it is a success. Amid this, Anurag Kashyap has called it the actress’ career-best performance.

Taking to Instagram, Anurag wrote, “@motwayne is out with another banger. Again pushing the boundaries of technology and storytelling. You can not contain the man, or put him in a box. Always braver than everyone around him. For me he has always been the go to person, he introduced me to my first still camera, he taught me sound design and the importance of it, introduced me to Mac Book. Always a step ahead of everyone. Now he has gone and made this modern-day horror fable.”

He added, “It’s a thriller, its scary, its a nightmare with a career-best central performance by @ananyapanday. I was lucky to see it on screen but now streaming on @netflix.in. Watch it with good headphones. Congratulations to @nikhildwivedi25. It takes equal amounts of balls to back that it takes to make it. Good job team.”

As for CTRL, the trailer introduced Ananya Panday as Nella Awasthi and Vihaan Samat as Joe Mascarenhas, a couple whose content creation has earned them a loyal Internet following. But the story takes a turn when the pair breaks up. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, CTRL explores the question: in a world where data is power, how much of ourselves should we share online, and what happens when we lose control of that information?

Ananya Panday shared her thoughts on playing Nella, “My character Nella is like any of us. She’s caught up in a world dominated by technology and social media. CTRL explores how we navigate the fine line between our online presence and who we are in real life. Working with Vikram sir and Nikhil sir has been an incredible journey, and I can’t wait for you to watch it on Netflix and uncover the connection between Nella and Allen.”

The film is currently streaming on Netflix.
