Chef Ranveer Brar On Cloud Nine As Fans Praise His Role In The Buckingham Murders

Chef turned actor Ranveer Brar, who played the role of Daljeet Kohli in Hansal Mehta’s directorial, has garnered positive acclaim from the audience. From fans to Bollywood celebrities, everyone praised the actor for his outstanding performance. After receiving the wide critical appreciation for his performance in his latest release, the chef-turned-actor burst out in joy. During a conversation with a media outlet, he expressed that the response has been overwhelming.

In a conversation with Hindustan Times, the 46-year-old exclaimed, “It’s very heartwarming to see the industry appreciate it. Many senior people from the industry praised my work, which for me means a lot.”

The actor, who has also worked in an OTT project named ‘Modern Love Mumbai,’ also spoke about his experience working in OTT and theatre. He said, “An artist doesn’t feel any difference between the two mediums. When I saw the film on the big screen, I really understood. Agar vo nahi hota toh, I wouldn’t have actually understood the difference between shooting for web or theatrical. The smaller nuances that make the impact are far more important.”

Elaborating further, he said that a little bit of music on the big screen makes a much larger impact on audiences than sitting at home and watching OTT on the screens. “Toh jaise hum khaana banaate hue bhi bolte hain, bas vaise hi thoda namak mirch ka hisaab change karna hota hai (So just like we say while cooking, we just need to change the quantity of salt and pepper a little),” he said.

On being asked about the balance between his professional life as a chef and actor, Ranveer said, “Being a chef is something you really can’t undo. Aisa toh hai nahi ki cycle chalaana bhul jaayenge. That’s something that you are for life, and then how do you extend yourselves is your quest. Some people write, some play, and I act. I think this is a good extension that I would like to pursue. I can’t complain, both things are going well hand in hand.”

The chef also dropped a heartfelt video on his official Instagram handle that captured a string of screenshots of all the praise he received from his fans. Sharing the post, Ranveer wrote, “For all the love and support, dil se dhanyavaad! Beyond thankful to @hansalmehta for believing in me!! The Hansal Mehta directorial is a mystery thriller drama that was released on September 13. The story revolves around Kareena Kapoor’s character, who loses her child, and in dealing with her grief, she ventures on to become a detective. Besides Kareena Kapoor Khan, The Buckingham Murders also features Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar and Keith Allen in lead roles.
