The third edition of Nannamma Super Star is nearing its final episode. This Kannada game show involves celebrity mothers and their children. The duo compete in fun tasks for the trophy of Nannamma Super Star. TV presenter Srujan Lokesh, actress Anu Prabhakar, and Tara Anuradha are the judges of the show. The third season of the show is hosted by Bhagyalakshmi fame actress Sushma K Rao.
In the pre-finale episode, the lead cast of the TV serial Bhagyalakshmi had a special appearance. Padmaja Rao who plays the role of Kasuma ( Bhagya’s Mother-In-law) and Sudarshan Rangaprasad aka Thandav (Bhagya’s Husband) in the serial appeared in the pre-finale episode of Nannamma Super Star. The trio had a fun segment. It is currently airing on Jio Cinema.
In the aired episode, Sushma K Rao appears to be shocked after a surprise visit from her on-screen mother-in-law and husband. She asks them to introduce themselves as per the format of the show. To this, Padmaja Rao says that she is the mother-in-law of Sushma and introduces herself as Thandav’s mother.
As the funny banter continues, judge Srujan Lokesh poses a question to Sushma. As per the current story arc in Bhagyalakshmi, Srujan wonders about the division of the house. He asks, ‘How do you use the toilet after the division of the house?” To this, Sushma said that they haven’t divided the house by sticking the tape on the household items. She further clarified that they have separate bathrooms.
The show consists of kids and their mothers. Sushma challenges Sudarshan Rangaprasad to talk like a kid. To this, Sudarshan calls Sushma ‘Aunty’ prompting the actress to run off stage. Padmaja Rao thrashes Sudarshan and jokes about it. The contestants then ask the Sushma and Padmaja to dance together in a bid to get revenge for all the difficult tasks she imposed on them. Later, another contestant asks Sudarshan to lift Sushama which he effortlessly executes. Sushma Rao looks stunning in a white and purple outfit.
Bhagyalakshmi is one of the highly-watched Kannada serials. It is being remade in several languages. Its remake is also made in Hindi. It is titled Mangal Lakshmi. It counts as a comeback of Deepika Singh in the television industry.
