Ben Affleck, Amid Divorce Rumours, Attends Daughter’s Graduation Party Without Jennifer Lopez

Ben Affleck has been caught up in the controversies surrounding his rumoured separation from Jennifer Lopez. Earlier, he was spotted arriving at a set without his ring. Inciting the divorce rumours with Lopez again, the Argo actor recently arrived solo to attend his daughter Violet’s high school graduation party. The 18-year-old’s graduation festivities were held in Los Angeles.

According to a Page Six report, Affleck rocked a beige blazer, blue jeans, and boots for Violet’s high-school graduation festivities in Los Angeles. However, what raised the eyebrows was the actor turning up solo for the important family event. The On The Floor singer chose to give Violet’s graduation soirée a miss for reasons only known to her.

It needs to be noted that Violet is Affleck’s daughter with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. The 13 Going on 30 actress celebrated her firstborn’s milestone with a bunch of photos she shared on her social media handle. Her post comprised a slideshow of her teary-eyed pictures which she captioned, “Tell me you have a graduate without telling me you have a graduate. (bless our hearts).”

Affleck and Garner reportedly got divorced in October 2018 after almost three years of separation and ten years of married life. It was only last week when Violet received her high school diploma, an occasion important for the 18-year-old. While her father made sure to mark his presence at the event, the absence of Lopez could not go unnoticed.

Speculations are rife that the couple is now living separately from each other owing to their marital issues. These rumours intensified after Affleck skipped Met Gala 2024 which concluded earlier this month. Later, the couple, who exchanged vows in 2022, made headlines for not attending the premiere of Lopez’s movie Atlax together.

Last week, a source told Page Six that the couple has been going through a rough patch in their marriage. It quoted the source as saying, “If there was a way to divorce on grounds of temporary insanity, he would.” The insider added, “He feels like the last two years was just a fever dream, and he’s come to his senses now and understands there is just no way this is going to work.”
