Directed by Imtiaz Ali and starring Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra, the film offers a deep dive into the life of the iconic Punjabi musician, who met a tragic end at the age of 27. Viewers and critics alike have lauded the biographical drama for its compelling storytelling, while industry insiders have also been heaping praise on the film. Arjun Kapoor, in his Instagram Stories, appreciated Amar Singh Chamkila’s crew. He particularly highlighted filmmaker Imtiaz Ali for his exceptional storytelling skills. The film Amar Singh Chamkila was released on Netflix on April 12. While Diljit Dosanjh plays the legendary singer, Parineeti Chopra stars in the film as Amar Singh Chamkila’s wife. This was the first time Parineeti Chopra and Diljit Dosanjh collaborated on screen.

Meanwhile, Arjun Kapoor’s popular film 2 States completed 10 years since its release and the actor shared a post commemorating the day. He wrote, “10 years, countless emotions.” The post had some of the stills from the film as well as a compilation of clips with his co-star Alia Bhatt. The film was released in 2014 and also starred Ronit Roy and Amrita Singh.

Arjun is preparing to play a crucial role in the forthcoming multi-starrer flick Singham Again. The actor was last seen in Kuttey, directed by Aasman Bharadwaj and starred Tabu, Naseerudin Shah and Radhika Madan in vital roles.
