The upcoming series is expected to bring an intense confrontation between Guddu and Kaleen, followed by introducing fresh characters in the storyline.

Ahead of the Mirzapur Season 3 premiere, here’s a recap of the previous part.

What Happened At The End Of Mirzapur Season 2?

While the second season saw an escalation in the power struggle with Guddu (Ali Fazal), Golu (Shweta Tripathi), and Dimpy (Harshita Gaur) seeking vengeance, Munna (Divyendu Sharma), on the other hand, prepared to seize control.

In the explosive final, the makers shocked viewers with the deaths of some key characters and shifting allegiances in the fierce battle. Starting with Kaleen Bhaiya’s loyal aide Maqbool, who holds Bauji (Kulbhushan Kharbanda) at gunpoint, it prompts Beena (Rasika Dugal) to take her revenge. Further, the climax also saw the unexpected downfall of Munna Bhaiya, who had turned against his father under Raja’s influence.

In pursuit of power, he turned blind to the looming threat from Guddu and Golu and ended up planning to kill his father. It was late until he realised that Kaleen wanted to appoint him as the ‘Raja’ of Mirzapur. As Guddu and Golu lead an attack on the father-son duo, Kaleena Bhaiya has a narrow escape with the help of Sharad (Anjum Sharma), but Munna succumbs to the injuries.

With such a dramatic closure, a lot of questions arise. Why did Sharad save Kaleen? Why did he not enter the brutal battle? Why did he leave Guddu unharmed? And most importantly, how will Kaleen Bhaiya avenge Munna’s murder?

With Guddu now claiming the throne, it is to be seen what his future goals are, as well as those of others, as in Mirzapur, no one enters without a purpose. Season 3 will span across 10 episodes, with the lead actors returning to reprise their roles alongside new ones fighting for their relevance.
