Adipurush Director Om Raut Calls Salman Khan, Prabhas 'Flop-Proof': 'They Are Just Beyond'
Adipurush maker Om Raut hailed Prabhas and Salman Khan, by calling them flop-free actors.

Salman Khan and Prabhas stand as titans of Indian cinema, each boasting a legacy of delivering some of the most unforgettable hits in film history. Known for their magnetic on-screen presence and undeniable charisma, these two stars have captivated audiences across generations. Recently, director Om Raut, who helmed the Prabhas-starrer ‘Adipurush’, made waves with a statement that has since gone viral. He boldly claimed that Khan and Prabhas are “flop-proof” actors, suggesting their immense popularity remains unscathed even in the face of box office setbacks.

In a clip from one of his recent interviews, Raut expressed, “Actors like Prabhas and Salman Khan are flop-proof stars; they have a big fan following, a certain perception, and a certain image that doesn’t get affected by some flops. They are just beyond.”

On the professional front, Salman Khan is gearing up for his next big project, ‘Sikandar’, directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, and Prateik Babbar, is slated for a grand release during Eid 2025.

According to a recent Pinkvilla report, Khan kicked off an intense 45-day shooting schedule for ‘Sikandar’ in Mumbai on August 26, 2024. The production team, led by Nadiadwala, has spared no expense in creating an elaborate set that meticulously replicates various parts of Mumbai, a process that took over three months and significant investment. This set is crucial for both the film’s high-octane action sequences and its emotionally charged dramatic scenes.

Following the Mumbai shoot, the ‘Sikandar’ team is set to move to an Indian palace for the next phase of filming, which will last approximately 15 to 20 days. The production team is currently scouting for a palace that will enhance the film’s grandeur, with this next filming phase expected to kick off in November.

Earlier reports from Pinkvilla have hinted at Khan’s role in ‘Sikandar’, portraying a character with royal arrogance. The source noted that Khan’s portrayal of Sikandar embodies the traits of a royal figure, exuding both anger and pride.

Meanwhile, Prabhas recently achieved monumental success with ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, which shattered box office records, raking in over Rs 1100 crores globally and securing its place as one of 2024’s highest-grossing films. The film featured a stellar ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan. Director Nag Ashwin has confirmed that a sequel is in development, which will delve deeper into Kamal Haasan’s character and his hidden ambitions.
