Actor Darshan's Bail Plea Hearing Today? What We Know
Last week, Darshan’s lawyer CV Nagesh argued in the court that attempts are being made to implicate the actor.

Actor Darshan, a prominent name in the Kannada film industry, has been in the middle of the Renukaswamy murder case, currently being held in prison for alleged involvement. For the past few months, the actor, who has been in judicial custody since June 11, has been struggling to get bail. Now, as per the latest reports on the case, the next hearing for the bail plea is expected to be held today.

Last week, Darshan’s lawyer CV Nagesh argued in the court that attempts are being made to implicate the actor. He claimed that the accused was not aware of the deceased’s existence. The lawyer’s arguments received a response from Special Public Prosecutor (SSP) Prasanna Kumar on October 8, who presented arguments against the submission made by the actor’s defence.

According to the reports, the SSP revealed all the chat details of Pavithra Gowda, the other accused, and the victim Renukaswamy, in the court. The chats revealed that Pavithra had been in contact with Renukawamy since February, and in June, she had reportedly spoken to him through a phone call. It is being claimed that the actress sent a text which asked the victim to send his number, the reports add.

After Renukaswamy exchanged numbers with the actress, he sent obscene photos to her, even asking her to share a reply to those, more reports state. According to the SSP, when all that was happening Pavithra Gowda could have complained with the police. But instead of that, they reportedly contacted the President of Akhila Karnataka Darshan Thoogudeepa Sena.

This led to Renukaswamy being held captive in a shed in Pattanagere by the gang, where he was assaulted before the arrival of Darshan, as per the claims. He was again beaten after the actor arrived with Pavithra Gowda.

Earlier, the 57th Magistrate Court in Bengaluru had adjourned the actor’s bail plea hearing until September 27, while Pavithra Gowda’s was shifted to September 25. So far, three accused have been granted bail by the court: Nikhil Naik, Karthik and Keshava Murthy.
