Aamir Khan keeps proving that star power doesn’t need fancy clothes! At the Creator X Creator event in Mumbai, Rajkumar Hirani shared a fun story about the making of his cult hit, 3 Idiots. He recalled that when he pitched the film, Aamir Khan was dressed simply in a regular outfit and worn-out rubber chappals. Rajkumar Hirani pointed out that true comfort comes from feeling secure in yourself, not from flashy attire.

Opening up on how many South cinema stars dress simply and blend into the crowd, Rajkumar Hirani mentioned Aamir Khan to show that actors don’t need to act like stars. He pointed out that you can shine without flashy outfits! “When I went to narrate 3 Idiots to Aamir Khan, he was wearing a simple dress and a torn rubber chappal. It is all about feeling secure as an actor, and being comfortable in your own skin,” he recalled.

Back in 2016, Aamir Khan had said that fashion is not his strong suit. “I am habituated in wearing wrong outfits. People don’t take me seriously when it comes to fashion. So, I don’t have any fear of poor fashion sense,” he had said.

Not long back, on Rhea Chakraborty’s newly launched new chat show titled Chapter 2, Aamir Khan said he doesn’t see himself as handsome. Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan are the real lookers, he added. He said, “I think Shah Rukh Khan is really good looking. Salman Khan is really good looking. Hrithik Roshan is really good looking. Log toh mere kapdon ka mazak udaata rehta hai ke ‘yeh pata nahin kya pahen ke aa jata hai (People make fun of my clothes. They say, ‘What is he wearing?’.”

Meanwhile, Rajkumar Hirani is known for directing successful films like Munna Bhai MBBS, 3 Idiots, and Dunki. He is one of the few filmmakers who has never had a flop at the box office. Currently, he is working on a streaming show with Vikrant Massey and has yet to announce his next film.
