Tushar Hiranandani’s upcoming film Srikanth, starring Rajkummar Rao and Alaya F, teased fans with a modern-day version of the classic song ‘Papa Kehte Hai’ from the movie Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. The reimagined song has been creating a buzz in the digital space and fans have been eagerly awaiting its release. Pinkvilla has reported that the team behind the Srikanth Bolla biopic is gearing up to launch the song on Monday, April 22, 2024.
The special launch will be graced by none other than Aamir Khan himself. According to a close source, Aamir Khan was delighted when Bhushan Kumar shared the idea of recreating the iconic song to honor the inspiring journey of Srikanth Bolla. Aamir is looking forward to attending the event and being a part of the song’s unveiling. The source told the entertainment portal, “Bhushan Kumar had informed Aamir about the idea of recreating Papa Kehte Hai and he was happy that the song is being recreated to celebrate the journey of a person like Srikanth Bolla. He is excited to attend the launch.”
Moreover, the source disclosed that the emotionally charged performance of ‘Papa Kehte Hai’ will be presented live by visually impaired musicians at a grand event in Mumbai. Aamir Khan, Rajkummar Rao, Alaya F, Tushar Hiranandani, Srikanth Bolla, as well as producers Bhushan Kumar and Nidhi Parmar will be in attendance. The event promises to be a nostalgic experience for Aamir, taking him back to the early days of his career, “It’s a grand event in Mumbai, and Aamir was gracious and kind to accept the invitation for the launch. In-fact, he is also excited given that the song will take him on a nostalgic trip to the times of his debut,” the source quipped.
Adding to the excitement, the much-anticipated Srikanth Bolla Biopic, titled Srikanth, is scheduled for release on May 10, 2024. Set to hit the screens during the summer vacation season, the film is anticipated to make a mark with strong word-of-mouth publicity and high expectations from audiences.
Srikanth Bolla, an Indian entrepreneur, founded Bollant Industries, which offers employment opportunities to unskilled and differently-abled individuals. Born visually impaired in 1992 near Hyderabad, his life story is truly inspiring. Despite facing challenges, he pursued his education at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), being the only visually impaired international student. Upon returning to India, Srikanth dedicated himself to creating job opportunities for people with disabilities.
