Extraordinary You star Lee Na-eun recently made headlines due to her link-up rumours with soccer star Lee Kang-in. The rumoured couple was spotted together at the actress’ residence. South Korean media outlet, The Fact, identified the pair during their outings, primarily at locations such as Lee Na-eun’s house, her car or the National Soccer Team’s dorms. Despite continuous rumours since April 2023, Lee Na-eun has repeatedly denied any romantic involvement with the soccer player. In the latest development, Lee Na-eun’s agency stepped in and refuted the dating claims, asserting that the two are just close friends and they are not involved romantically.
Lee Na-eun’s agency sent their official stance regarding her dating rumours with Lee to MK Sports and stated, “As a result of confirmation, Lee Na-eun and Lee Kang-in are merely acquaintances and not lovers.”
The official statement came after The Fact captured Lee Na-eun and Lee Kang-in together on various occasions. Most recently, the youngest member of the Korean national soccer team and Paris Saint-Germain player, Lee Na-eun, was photographed with Naeun. On the other hand, back on November 14 and 15 last year, before the national team’s match for the 2026 North and Central America World Cup Asian second qualifying round, Lee Na-eun was spotted at the underground parking lot of Yeouido Hotel, in a car with Lee. After the game, the duo even spent time together at Naeun’s apartment complex in Guri-si, Gyeonggi-do, further fuelling speculations about their relationship.
After covering the two for several days, the media portal conducted an interview where Lee Na-eun found herself in an uncomfortable position when questioned about her relationship with Lee Kang-in. She paused for a moment before admitting her meetings with Lee Kang-in but remained cautious and told the reporter, “I am not in a romantic relationship.” When asked about their numerous meetings at her residence, she jokingly responded “It was to get game tickets.”
Lee Na-eun, previously part of the girl group April, entered the entertainment industry in August 2015. She later turned actress in 2017, where she made her mark in television with the show My Father Is Strange. She continued to showcase her talent in various productions like Everyone’s Entertainment, Hip-Hop King Nasnagil, Extraordinary You and How I Found a Day. Presently, the actress is gearing up for her upcoming role in the drama series Flex x Cop. On the other hand, Lee Kang-in is a midfielder representing the Korean national team and is associated with Paris Saint-Germain.
