Korean boyband BTS singer and songwriter, Kim Tae-hyung aka V, recently enjoyed a vacation and generously shared moments from his break on his official Instagram channel. These snapshots capture precious moments as he spent quality time with his friends and fellow BTS members, Park Ji-min (Jimin) and Jungkook. V, who recently concluded promotions in South Korea and Japan for his solo album Layover, took this well-deserved break to relax and connect with his fans. He shared a series of 10 photos from his vacation under the caption Welcome Autumn. What truly caught everyone’s attention, though, was not just the beloved trio but also the captivating location they visited.
Stirring excitement among his Indian fans, V, along with Jimin and Jungkook, was seen dining at an Indian restaurant in Jeju. The restaurant, known as Café Chai, has a distinctive ambience characterised by colourful canopies and walls that resemble traditional mud houses, as reported by Koreaboo. The trio sported matching t-shirts for the day out. In one of the pictures, V was seen grocery shopping while donning a blue hoodie and a mask.

Following BTS’ announcement of a temporary break from group activities and the members’ upcoming enlistments, fans have found it increasingly challenging to witness the group together. Therefore, seeing the cherished maknae line (younger members of a K-pop group) spending time together brought joy to ARMYs. In fact, their beloved nicknames became trending topics on the X platform, along with the phrase “they know each other.”
On the professional front, with his studio album, Layover, V marked his debut as a solo artist. Layover was released on September 8 this year. This album showcases his love for his pet dog Yeontan. Slow Dancing is the title track, and the album contains a total of six tracks, namely Rainy Days, Blue, Love Me Again, Slow Dancing, For Us, and a piano version of Slow Dancing. Each song is accompanied by a distinct music video, conveying various visuals and themes. Layover encompasses genres such as pop, jazz, and R&B.
According to Soompi, last month, V made it to an impressive No. 2 on Billboard 200, which tied the record set by his fellow BTS members Jimin and Suga for the highest ranking achieved by a Korean solo album on this chart. As of October 3, according to Billboard, the album continues to hold its position on the Billboard 200 at No. 46 for a third consecutive week. Furthermore, Layover is also excelling on the Top Album Sales and Top Current Album Sales charts, securing the No. 3 spot on both charts.
V’s title track, Slow Dancing, remains robust at No. 11 on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart in its third week, while his pre-release singles Love Me Again and Rainy Days stand at No. 60 and No. 116 respectively.
