The investigation team probing into the murder of policeman Maniyan Pillai has traced another woman associated with suspect Aadu Antony, this time from Mumbai.
The woman has been identified as Kumari. Antony is said to have married her from Thiruvalla. SIT located Kumari from a slum area in Saki Naka, near Andheri east suburb of Mumbai. Antony lived with the woman at Saki Naka in 2010.
She was quizzed by a team led by Paravur SI Vipin Kumar U P on Saturday. After preliminary questioning, the woman confessed that she was married by Antony a couple of years back from Thiruvalla.
Antony had converted to Pentecost for marrying her and the couple then went to Mumbai. Kumari is now working as a home nurse in Mumbai
Highly placed sources in the SIT said that an old mobile phone number used by Antony was instrumental in tracing out Kumari.
During the course of the investigation, the special investigation team had earlier found around 17 women who had relationship with Antony and had arrested two women.
