New Delhi: They come from three different nationalities but form a common humour in the experiences that come with living in India.
Irete, Liz and Sumana break into song easily as it’s the daily experiences that inspire them into playing their band WotSheLike. While Sumana is an Indian, Liz has been in India for 10 years and Irete for four.
But just a few seconds into their songs and you'll find a trio that'll have you relating to them without doubt.
"The songs come from anything from an experience with my mother-in-law to the shopkeeper. I do most of writing when husband is away," says Liz.
There's a brigade of songs that range from naughty to outright comedy that one can get on their album or catch at any of their live gigs across Delhi and Mumbai.
"We chat a bit before each song at a live gig depending on where we are. So each experience is different and spontaneous,” says Sumana.
Other than the live gigs and music, it’s only when you join the girls for a ride in Liz's old Ambassador car that you come to know there music really stems from.
That’s when you realise these are three women who love life and living each naughty moment of it, as much as they love their husbands.
