Paris: French President Nicholas Sarkozy is allegedly considering legal action over the sale of a voodoo kit resembling him.
The controversial voodoo kit consists of a doll with the President's image and a set of pins.
The doll is emblazoned with some of his infamous remarks, including once when he had abused a bystander who refused to shake his hand.
Makers K&B, however, have refused to take back the toy.
Chief Executive of K&B Editions, Jean-Francois Kowalski said they were being sued by Sarkozy for selling the kit containing a doll with his image.
The lawsuit was launched following K&B Editions refusal to pull the kits from retails shops.
They believe that it is within their rights to keep it on market as it's a harmless caricature meant for relaxation.
Kowalski said the demand to withdraw the dolls was "totally disproportionate, considering that the voodoo manuel is an item of humour."
The publishing company also produced 12-thousand dolls of Segolene Royal, last year's Socialist Party candidate for the French Presidency.
