Virat Kohli handed over his cap and t-shirt to the East India head of the organisation and Sundarbans expert, Devabrata Mondal.

Virat Kohli, the star of the Indian cricket team, recently handed over his cap and t-shirt to an international organisation for auction. As per the members of the organisation, the money collected by auctioning these items will be used for the education of needy children in the Sundarbans area of West Bengal. The funds will also be used for the protection of the environment.

The former Indian captain donated his signed India T-shirt and cap for the Go Dharmic Auction. This year’s t-shirts and cap have already been auctioned and proceeds from the items will go into helping the Sundarbans. But this is not the first time he has indulged in donations. Last year too Virat Kohli donated his T-shirt to the Mumbai-based NGO, Go Dharmic. Time and again, he has proved that he is one of the most prominent philanthropists in the country.

For the longest time, international voluntary organisations have been associated with various activities of Go Dharmic. The organisation sells these special items and in return has been doing various service work in different parts of the world with the money. It works to provide education and health, protecting the environment and disaster management.

As per reports, Virat Kohli handed over his cap and t-shirt to the East India head of the organisation and Sundarbans expert, Devabrata Mondal. The expert said, “Virat is a very good-hearted person. He is very concerned about the education of the destitute boys and girls of the Sundarbans as well as across the country. Also, he is worried about the Sundarbans’ environment. So he is repeatedly extending his helping hand to stand by the people of Sundarbans. Virat also expressed his desire to come to Sundarbans in the future.”

Just last month, cricketer KL Rahul and his actress-wife, Athiya Shetty hosted a ‘Cricket For Charity’ auction in Mumbai on Friday. This auction was for Vipla Foundation which works towards providing education to underprivileged children. Virat Kohli’s jersey was sold for Rs 40 lakh and his gloves were sold for Rs 28 lakh.
