Veerashaiva Mahasabha superseded

BANGALORE/BIDAR: The state government on Tuesday superseded the Akhila Bharata Veerashaiva Mahasabha and appointed the deputy commissioner of Tumkur district Dr Somashekar as its administrator and expelled it’s president Bheemanna Khandre.Khandre said the superceding of ABVMS saying that it is illegal and a politically motivated act of the government.Sources said Bheemanna Khandre, former president of the body, refused to convene general body meetings and call for elections after his term ended in March.Khandre added, “I have developed the Veerashaiva Maha Sabha in my 11 years of service. Some people who could not tolerate this, have ensured I get dismissed.”
