India's first skill development centre was inaugurated in Udaipur on Saturday by Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.

Addressing a function after inaugurating the centre, which has been set up under the Livelihood Skill Project, Raje said, "My government will work to provide employment opportunities to all."

She called upon people of the state to fight casteism, regionalism and communalism which were obstructing the path of development.

The chief minister said tourists who visit Rajasthan to see the splendid forts, palaces and the cultural heritage will also come to see the state's economic development and skill of the youth in future.

"The state government will make youths self-reliant by providing them skill training," Raje said.

She said the state government will open 200 such centres in all 33 districts of the state.

An agreement has been signed with 40 agencies to provide skill training to the youth, she added.
