THIRUVANANTHAPUARAM: James Golsen, who recently took charge as the Principal Commercial Officer at the US Consulate, Chennai, visited Technopark the other day. He held interactions with the heads of various companies in the Park. During the interactions, he explained and clarified on various incentives for investment and for facilitation of US visas. Technopark CEO Mervin Alexander conducted a presentation on Kerala as an IT destination and its prospects. Golsen also gave an assurance to Technopark companies on special incentives and also said that Kerala will be added as a destination for visiting US business delegations. “About 60 per cent of our business is with the US and therefore this session with James Golsen was very fruitful and the companies who participated also benefited from this. We are looking forward to the visit of the new US Consulate General in Chennai, Jennifer A McIntyre, in December,” said Mervin Alexander. The delegation also visited UST Global and Toonz Animation offices on the Technopark campus. Representatives from Azinova Technologies, Mindsoft Technologies, Artin Dynamics, RenynexSoftware, Speridien Technologies, Dev Web Services, Hages Business Solutions, Assure Business Solutions, IIC Web Solutions, efx IT Solutions, Extolution, GeoTrans Technologies, Acts Info, Palnar Transmedia, Saturn Systemwareees and Art Technologies participated in the session. M Vasudevan, senior business manager of Technopark and P Vaidyanathan, senior commercial specialist, US Consulate, also were present on the occasion.
