TIRUVARUR: After expelled AIADMK member Divaharan was nabbed in the outskirts of Tiruchy, two more members of the party were detained by the Needamangalam police, during the wee hours of Monday. According to reports, the Needamangalam police arrested Rishiyur panchayat vice-president, Tamilselvan, and his colleague, Vaidyanathan, late on Sunday night. The duo were presented before the Needamangalam Judicial Magistrate (In-charge) Chellapandi, and they were ordered to be kept under Judicial remand for 15 days at Tiruchy central jail.On Monday evening, Rishiyur panchayat president, Krishna Menon, Gandhi alias Gunasekaran and Rajendran, surrendered before the Needamangalam police.Meanwhile, Divaharan’s legal counsel on Monday filed a bail petition at the Tiruvarur District Sessions Court.The bail plea case was taken up for hearing by Sessions Judge S Ilango, who adjourned the hearing to February 9.
