Two arrested for raping 10-year-old

BANGALORE: Two shopkeepers, who repeatedly raped a 10-year-old girl for past three months were arrested by the Commercial Street police on Thursday afternoon. According to the police, the incident came to light on Wednesday, when the girl was vomited continuously. The girl’s mother, on Thursday, lodged a complaint stating that her daughter was raped more than six times in the last three months. The accused have been identified as Shahrukh, 34,  a meat shop owner and Imran, a fruit vendor. The duo allegedly had taken the girl to a room close to her house at Narayana Pillai Street where they reportedly raped her. Police said that the girl did not reveal the incident as they had threatened to kill her if she informed anyone about the incident. The girl was sent for a medical check-up and the duo were arrested.
