Top army commander meets J&K Governor; discusses internal security in valley
General Officer Commanding Chinar Corps. based in Srinagar met with Governor N. N. Vohra to discuss the internal security situation in the backdrop of the Sopore killings.

Srinagar: Amid growing concerns over the spate of civilian killings in Sopore, a top army commander in Kashmir called on Governor NN Vohra here on Friday and discussed the internal security situation in the Valley.

General Officer Commanding of the Srinagar-based Chinar Corps, Lt Gen. Subrata Saha, called on Vohra at the Raj Bhavan, an official spokesman said. He said the Governor discussed with the commander certain issues related to the recent internal security developments in the Valley.

They also discussed the security arrangements being made for the forthcoming Amarnath Yatra starting July 2, the

spokesman said.
