'The English Patient' producer Saul Zaentz dies at 92
Saul Zaentz began his career as a music producer, before turning to filmmaking at the age of 50.

Los Angeles: Legendary Hollywood producer Saul Zaentz died at his home in San Francisco after suffering from Alzheimer's disease. He was 92.

Saul died Friday, reports hollywoodreporter.com.

His nephew Paul Zaentz confirmed the news. He said: "He was an extraordinary man. He had a lot of guts, a lot of integrity."

Saul began his career as a music producer, before turning to filmmaking at the age of 50.

He won three Academy awards for his films, 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' (1975), 'Amadeus' (1984) and 'The English Patient' (1996).
