Exhausted from his exertions in the national capital where he grappled with several Congress high commandos, TRS boss K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) has been decompressing at his farmhouse on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
Not leaving him alone, several leaders of the Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) have made a beeline for the farmhouse for a heads-up from the Pink Panther himself. They were reportedly being told to just chill, for good things are ahead.
Visitors to the farmhouse have included TRS MLAs E Rajendar, G Aravind Reddy and TNGO leaders G Deviprasad Rao, C Vittal, TNGO former president K Swami Goud and several others.
However, notable among those not present were TJAC chairman Prof. Kodandaram and another prominent leader Srinivas Goud. The TRS chief reportedly expressed his dissatisfaction with the TJAC chairman.
The meeting continued from 12 noon to 7 p.m. with a small break when the TRS chief and the leaders inspected the agricultural fields in the vicinity. Media was not allowed into the farmhouse.
The TRS chief reportedly discussed the ‘Chalo Hyderabad’ march and its consequences and the criticism of it by leaders of several people’s organisations.
Chandrasekhar Rao is said to have told TJAC leaders in informal meetings that the Central government’s perception of the Telangna has changed a lot in recent months.
“Now they are thinking about creation of a Telangana state, but it will take some time,” KCR was quoted as saying by one member of his farmhouse audience. The TRS chief reportedly said the AICC would officially react on the Telangana issue by the end of this month. He would go to Delhi again, if invited.
However, KCR added the rider that if the Centre does not announce a road map to Telangana, the TRS will intensify the movement and prepare an action plan after Dasara.
He told the TJAC leaders and MLAs that the Telangana movement should take care not to create any inconvenience to people of the region and agitational programmes should be realistic and rational.
The TRS boss is said to draw some satisfaction that the Seemandhra leadership is divided, a good sign for a separate Telangana. Several Seemandhra MPs are said to be frustrated that the Central government is now leaning towards bifurcation.
The TRS leader is said to have derided Seemandhra elected reps for not being able to organise even one activity to promote their demand to keep the state united.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that the leaders of various JACs are trying to bridge the gap between Chandrasekhar Rao and Kodandaram. The TJAC is planning to hold a meeting in Hyderabad on October 9 and bring the two leaders together on the dais.
