Siddartha Das, the man claiming to be Sheena's father, traced, says he never married 'money-minded' Indrani
"Mumbai Police has not contacted me. If they will contact me, I will cooperate with them. Indrani left me in 1989 and after that she never met me," Das said.

Kolkata: With each passing day, the Sheena Bora murder case is becoming murkier and Siddartha Das, the man claiming to be her father, has now been traced in Kolkata. Das, however, claimed that he never married Indrani Mukherjea but had a live-in relationship with her.

Das claimed that both Sheena and Mikhail are his children. "Mumbai Police has not contacted me. If they will contact me, I will cooperate with them. I met Indrani in 1986 and she left me in 1989 and after that she never met me. Indrani was very ambitious, money-minded and wanted a glamorous life," he said.

Das added, "Sheena was born in 1987 and Mikhail in 1988. I last spoke to Sheena when she was in class 10."

Devastated by the death of his daughter, Das said, "I want death for those who killed Sheena."

Das lives with his family in Durganagar near Dumdum. He currently stays in a rented flat and is married to a woman named Babli Das. However, Siddartha's wife says she never knew that her husband had any earlier relationship with anybody. "I don't care what happened in the past. I will not leave my husband," said Babli.

A team of Mumbai Police will leave for Kolkata and question Das in the mysterious murder, said sources.

Das's claim were earlier corroborated by his brother Santanu who had claimed that Sheena was Siddartha's daughter. He said, "Sheena is my brother Siddartha Das' daughter with Indrani Mukherjea. Yes, I met Sheena and Indrani around 1989 when Sheena was 6 months old. I have not met Mikhail."

Meanwhile, Mumbai Police has traced e-mail communication between Indrani and her woman employee who forged Sheena's signature on a fake resignation letter at Indrani's behest, said sources.

According to the sources, Indrani had sent samples of Sheena's signature to her employee through email. The employee then replied having copied the sign for Indrani's approval. Indrani had then asked her to improve the signature.

It is still unclear if the employee will be charged with forgery but she is likely to be made a witness. Indrani had faked Sheena's resignation letter post her death.

On Monday, the Bandra court extended the police custody of Indrani, her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna and her driver Shyam Rai till September 5.

Though Sheena, the daughter of high-profile media professional Indrani Mukerjea, was allegedly murdered in 2012 and her body disposed of in Raigad district, the crime came to light only recently.
