Dikshit also hoped that the women helpline 181 would become operational soon in other parts of the country.
New Delhi: In the backdrop of the alleged mismanagement of the December 16 gang-rape case by Delhi Police, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Monday pushed for a complete change in the training of police personnel.
"There is need for change in the training of police personnel. They should be soft spoken and must instill confidence in people," Dikshit said.
She said she has proposed the suggestion to Delhi Lieutenant Governor Tejinder Khanna, under whom Delhi Police come.
Dikshit also hoped that the women helpline 181 would become operational soon in other parts of the country.
