Samariya is new boss of AP Transco

HYDERABAD: The state government on Tuesday transferred 13 IAS officers and gave new postings to ten of them. As a result of the reshuffle, Hiralal Samariya, presently transport commissioner, will replace Ajay Jain as managing director of AP Transco.Jain has not been given any posting. Among those receiving a shunting is agriculture commissioner V Usha Rani, who is said to have incurred the displeasure of her minister Kanna Lakshminarayana over the release of tenders in her department. The minister reportedly prevailed upon the chief minister to transfer her. K Madhusudana Rao takes her place as commissioner of agriculture while Usha Rani has been moved to the Rajiv Vidya Mission as project director. Another transfer sees Rajiv Rajan Mishra leave the Irrigation Department after five years as its secretary. He has been moved to the Municipal Administration Department as principal secretary. Mishra's place in irrigation will be taken by B Arvinda Reddy.
