Spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, who underwent an emergency brain surgery at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital after suffering “life-threatening” bleeding in the skull, is recovering well and making steady progress, the Isha foundation informed via a statement posted on its official “X”  handle on Thursday.

Based on the most recent health update, Sadhguru is “recovering well” and continuing to make “steady progress.” The note concluded by thanking everyone for the outpouring of love and support extended.

Sadhguru’s daughter Radhe Jaggi also shared earlier this week that her father is “doing well and recovering quickly” in an Instagram story that was posted on Wednesday.

According to PTI, Indraprastha Apollo Hospital announced in a statement on Wednesday that “the surgery was performed on March 17 to remove bleeding in the skull.” Following the procedure, Sadhguru was weaned off the ventilator. The hospital reported that he had made “steady progress” and that his “vital parameters have improved.”

The Isha Foundation was founded by the 66-year-old spiritual guru. Sadhguru is also well known for starting several initiatives and environmental conservation projects including “Save Soil” and “Rally for Rivers.”

In addition, Sadhguru recorded a video from his hospital bed on Instagram, talking about the surgery. ”The Apollo hospital neurosurgeons cut through my skull to try and find something but found nothing — totally empty. So they gave up and patched it up. Here I am in Delhi with the patched-up skull but no damaged brain,” he added.
