PATHANAMTHITTA: The hill abode of Lord Ayyappa in Sabarimala would be closed on Wednesday evening, marking the conclusion of the eight-day Vishu festival. Laksharchana would be the special pooja to be conducted on Wednesday.Thantri Kandararu Maheshwararu would conduct the brahmakalasa pooja, to mark the beginning of the laksharchana in the nalambalam of the temple at 8 am.Sahasrakalasam and kalabhabhishekam would be the other special rituals to be held. Both the rituals would be conducted during uchcha pooja. Udayasthamana pooja, pushpabhishekam and padi pooja also would be held.The temple would be closed at 10 p m on Wednesday after athazha pooja and Harivarasanam.Temple to Reopen on May 14: The temple would reopen on May 14 evening for the five-day monthly poojas to be conducted during the Malayalam month of Edavam.
