Taking a jibe at the 'ups and downs' faced by RJD, LJP and JD(U) in allying with Congress, BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi said that the three parties could join hands to oppose BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.

"In the name of opposing Narendra Modi, the three leaders, Nitish Kumar, Lalu Prasad and Ramvilas Paswan can even come together," Sushil Modi told reporters in Patna.

"Their aversion for Narendra Modi is so strong that the three can come together forgetting rivalry," the former deputy chief minister said.

He said, "Even if this happens there is no challenge from these discredited leaders and alliance.

"Even if Congress goes with RJD or not, we think BJP which will have a contest with Lalu Prasad's party in the 2014 elections in 40 seats in the state," he added.

Coming down hard on the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, he said BJP had tolerated his slighting the party in the name of keeping RJD out of Bihar.
