KOCHI: Are you a homemaker doing paintings or embroidery or jewellery designing or making anything creative in clothes? Are you a fresher graduated from fashion designing but do not have opportunity to develop your skills? R K International Institute of Fashion Technology’s (RIIFT) ‘RIIFT fashion designers club’ will cater to your needs.The club offers three or six-month job-oriented training programmes in fashion designing for degree/ diploma holders. An array of career prospects for the members are also on offer, including fashion coordinator, fashion forecaster, wardrobe consultant, fashion journalist, designer-cum-model, quality controller and more. It will promote its members’ product through its marketing networks, retail outlets, exhibitions, trade fairs etc. The club will also assist in scholarship programmes. The members can introduce themselves through their magazine (will be launched soon) and website. Apart from these activities RIIFT also has a wide range of products - neonatal, baptism, birthday dresses, wedding dresses etc. “We make exclusive wedding and party wear gowns and ready-to-wear saris in Kerala,” says Shinu, project manager of the club.
