KOCHI: The Travancore Devaswom Board on Friday submitted that it would ensure that no one climbed the 18 holy steps in Sabarimala after Harivarasanam and closing of the nada.  The TDB made the submission on a suo motu proceeding by the Devaswom Bench based on a complaint filed by C G Prasanna Kumar of Aluva, who alleged that the holy steps leading to the Thirumuttam of the Sabarimala Sannidhanam are being frequented by some persons even after the Harivarasanam and closing of the nada. The  practice is against the faith and belief related to the Sabarimala temple. TDB standing counsel V V Nandagopal Nambiar submitted that there is no such situation as stated by the petitioner. The court, however, said that the watch and ward and those in managerial positions would be allowed entry to the Thirumuttam even after the nada is closed.
