He was remanded in judicial custody last Wednesday in connection with Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances  cases. “Babu was jailed in the A-Block of the prison. He had complained of chest pain at 7.30 am on Sunday. “Though he was rushed to the hospital he breathed his last by 10.30 am,” a jail official said.The body has been kept at the General Hospital mortuary. The Thrikkakara police have registered a case for unnatural death and a probe is on. “Prima facie there is no suspicion regarding the death since he was a cardiac patient. However, the inquest will be conducted in the presence of the Magistrate on Monday, Thrikkakkara Assistant Commissioner Bijo Alexander said.
