PUDUCHERRY: Chief Minister N Rangasamy has said that he will be meeting AICC president Sonia Gandhi on her return from abroad. “I will certainly meet her,” he told journalists on the sidelines of launching of an enhanced pension distribution scheme.Though Rangasamy did not elaborate further, it has given rise to speculation of a possible tie-up between the All India NR Congress with the Indian National Congress in future. Though INC has never been averse to such an eventuality, it has put the ball in AINRC’s court to make the first move. Though there were talks by mediators some time ago, Rangasamy did not respond.On the contrary, he seems to be enjoying his new-found freedom of taking independent decisions and wants to continue that way.However, squabbles within the party surfaced during the swearing-in of four ministers, when the displeasure of partymen was evident, made him rethink on political equations.
