Rajagopal has made a mark in politics: Thomas

KOCHI: Union Minister and Congress leader K V Thomas has said that BJP leader and former Union Minister O Rajagopal has made an exemplary mark in party politics and has earned a respectable position among public.He was speaking at a function held to celebrate the 82 birthday of Rajagopal at Vyttila Mobility Hub here on Saturday.As part of felicitating the BJP leader, Thomas draped him with a ponnada.Leela Menon offered him sweets.At the programme organised by Jana Samrakshana Samiti, over 82 saplings were planted on the premises of the hub.Justice V R Krishna Iyer, who spoke at the occasion, said planting saplings has to be appreciated as such endeavours benefit the environment.He also coined the day ‘Rajagopalan Dinam’.As part of the programme, Indira Rajan, a CBSE school teacher, was honoured by giving a state government certificate for her efforts in environmental issues.A N Radhakrishnan, Jose Maveli, architect B R Ajith and V Premchandran were present
