PSTET 2017 Application Process has begun on the official website of Education Recruitment Board, Punjab - educationrecruitmentboard.com. The Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test - PSTET 2017 is scheduled to be organized by the Punjab Education Board on 31st December 2017 across the state of Punjab. Candidates eligible to teach Classes I to V must apply for PSTET Paper I while candidates eligible to teach Classes VI to VIII must apply for PSTET Paper II. Candidates interested in applying for the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test can follow the instructions below and apply on or before 26th December 2017, 11PM:
How to Apply for PSTET 2017?
Step 1- Visit the official website – educationrecruitmentboard.com
Step 2 – Click on PSTET tab at the right side of the homepage
Step 3 – Click on ‘Click here to Register’
Step 4 – Enter details and register yourself
Step 5 – Go back to the PSTET 2017 page and login with your Registration credentials
Step 6 – Complete the application process and pay the application fee
Step 7 – Download the confirmation page and take a print out for further reference

PSTET 2017 Application Fee:
Candidates of Un-Reserved and OBC category are required to pay an application of ₹600, SC, ST and Differently-able candidates are required to pay ₹300 application fee whereas candidates from Ex-servicemen category are exempted from the exam fee. Candidates must deposit the application fee on or before 27th December 2017 within the banking hours to avoid rejection of application.

PSTET 2017 Exam Pattern:
Paper I and Paper II will comprise of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) carrying 1 mark each. Candidates have to score minimum 60% to qualify the PSTET exam. Candidates will be given one and a half hour to attempt the same.
A. Paper I will be divided into the following sections:
i) Child Development and Pedagogy
ii) Language I
iii) Language II
iv) Mathematics
v) Environmental Studies
Each section will carry 30 MCQs and hence 30 Marks each.
B. Paper II will be divided into the following sections:
i) Child Development and Pedagogy (compulsory)
ii) Language I (compulsory)
iii) Language II (compulsory)
iv) For Mathematics and Science Teacher – Maths and Science Paper with 60 MCQs of 1 Mark each.
Or for Social Studies Teacher – Social Studies Paper with 60 MCQs of 1 Mark each.
Or for any other teacher, either of the above options.
The sections i, ii and iii will comprise of 30 MCQs of 30 Marks each.
