Protesters demonstrate outside SP office as Akhilesh inducts new faces in cabinet

Scores of people on Thursday staged a demonstration in front of Samajwadi Party office in Lucknow against controversial former UP minister Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya.

The protesters, who claimed to be hailing from Kunda, the native place of Raja Bhaiya, staged the demonstration hours before UP cabinet reshuffle was to take place, and according to reports, he was expected to get a berth in the ministry.

Under the banner of Yadav Sena, the placard-wielding protesters shouted slogans against the former minister, who had to put his papers recently after his name was dragged into the killings of Kunda DySP Zia-ul-Haq, village head Nanhe Yadav and his brother Suresh Yadav. The situation was later controlled by the police.
