Protest march to CMs house

BANGALORE: In a protest against the state government’s failure to improve the power situation and take up drought relief works in the state, the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) have decided to take torch light procession from Mysore Bank circle to the CM’s residence on Friday.In a statement issued here on Thursday, senior Congress leaders including Opposition leaders in the Legislature Siddaramaiah, Smt Motamma and KPCC president Dr G Parameshwar would lead the procession.Several party legislators, members of the BBMP and other office-bearers would join the agitation. The programme aims to highlight the failure of the state government in taking up relief works in several parts of the state.KPCC has submitted a petition to Governor H R Bhardwaj on the worst ever power situation prevailed in the state.
