Protest against nuke plant

KOCHI:The Anti-nuclear activists’ convention has demanded that the state Legislative Assembly should pass a resolution against the Koodamkulam nuclear reactor project.To support the ongoing strike against the Koodamkulam project, processions will be organised from Peringom and Bhoothathankett to Koodamkulam on September 30. The processions will reach there on October 2. Cultural activists and artists will also take part in the procession. Also there will be public processions from Thiruvananthapuram to Koodamkulam from November 1 to 7. Civic Chandran, T N Joy, C R Neelakandan, K Ramachandran, Advocate Nandini, Adv Joshi Jacob, Adv P J Manual, Geojose, Rasaq Paleri, K K Basheer, K Sahadevan and M N Giri were part of the activities.A committee has been formed to unify the anti-nuclear activities in the state with D Surendranath as chairman and N Subrahmanyan as convener.
