PM's press meet: Smiling journalists, fuming journalists
For those who didn't get to ask questions, there's an assurance that he will do another press conference soon.

New Delhi: When there's too much buzz over a Prime Minister's press conference, you know the man has not spoken enough. On Friday it was the first time in three years.

The start was predictable. Showcasing of his work for 10 years. No smile, tense staff, even more tense media and who gets to ask the questions - bosses were watching after all.

And suddenly my chance came. I asked my question - is he out of the race in 2014? The Prime Minister said, "Yes."

Dr. Manmohan Singh opted out of the race in 2014, it was Rahul's time. But no smile from the Prime Minister.

Then a barrage of questions followed. The Prime Minister still hadn't smiled, it was more than an hour and then he finally did smile when a reporter from Assam asked about the dwindling rhinos in the state.

Assam is the Prime Minister's home state. Other states were not so lucky, leaving many reporters angry.

Andhra, Karnataka, Bengal, no question on Telangana, nothing on Robert Vadra. Information & Braodcasting Minister Manish Tewari did make quite a few enemies today - a thankless job to choose who gets to ask questions.

But for those who didn't get to ask questions, there's an assurance that he will do another press conference soon.
