THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Adding a political twist to the brutal attack on R Krishnakumar, a teacher in the school owned by former minister R Balakrishna Pillai at Valakom, Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan has alleged that Pillai and his minister-son K B Ganesh Kumar were behind the incident.“Quotation gangs were definitely engaged by Pillai and his son to unleash the attack against the teacher. No guideline is followed for promotions in the school run by Pillai. The fact that Pillai, who has been sentenced to undergo a jail term, is staying in a five-star hospital and maintaining contact with everybody he wishes through mobile phone proves that he might also have used quotation gangs for the attack,” Achuthanandan said after paying a visit to the surgical ICU ward in the medical college here where Krishnakumar is lying unconscious with critical injuries.He said with Chief Minister Oommen Chandy’s support, Pillai was circumventing rules while enjoying five-star facilities in the hospital.
