Phone talk turns fatal for teacher

ARIYALUR: A school teacher was electrocuted even as he was speaking to his friend over his mobile phone, which was connected to a power source for charging, here on Monday.According to the police, Ravichandran (45), son of Kuppusamy and resident of Nellithope village, was a physical training instructor at the Meensurutti Girls Higher Secondary School near Meensurutti.On Monday, Ravichandran connected his mobile phone to a power source and started speaking to a friend over the phone even as it was charging. Suddenly, even as he was speaking, Ravichandran suffered an electric shock through the phone, killing him on the spot. Ravichandran’s body was sent to his native, Vilvanagar in Cuddalore district following a post mortem. The Meensurutti police have registered a case.
